Tanzania powerhouse Simba SC have set their eyes on in-form Ghana midfielder Salim Adams.

The 23-year-old is in the best shape of his career at Ghana Premier League outfit, Medeama SC, who currently sit on the summit of the domestic top flight.

The former Hearts of Oak midfielder scored his ninth goal of the season after grabbing a brace during Medeama’s 4-0 walloping of Kotoko in week 29 at the Tarkwa TnA Park on Sunday.

He said after the game: “We had a lot of confidence because looking at the league standings now, we have our destiny in our hands, it depends on our output and we must not drop our guards,” Salim Adams.

“We lost points we should not have, so we were determined to claim these three points.

“We aimed to score four goals in the first half so that we relax and keep the game in the second half but when we scored the fourth goal we decided to go for the kill.

“We are going for three points in every game, we won’t go for a draw. Every game is like a finals.”

The victory against Kotoko sent them back on top of the log with 53 points, two better than defending champions, GoldStars who lost 2-1 at Aduana.

Adams joined Medeama after leaving Hearts of Oak

Adams’ blistering form has caught the eyes of the Tanzania club according African football expert Micky Junior.

The former New Edubiase United player has chalked an impressive statistics this season with 25 appearances and scoring nine times.

Ghanaian football pundits have called for his inclusion into the next Black Stars squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be staged in Mexico, Canada and USA in June due to his hot form.

He previously played for giants Hearts of Oak where he won the FA Cup during the 2021/22 season.

He had a brief spell in the United States with Cincinnati 2 as part of Hearts of Oak’s Common Value Chain Alliance [CVCA] with TSG Hoffenheim and Cincinnati.

He transferred to Medeama after deciding against renewing his contract with Hearts of Oak in 2024.

Adams, whose value on transfermarkt is pegged at €75,000 Euros, will be a good addition to Simba who are looking to bolster their midfield.

He was a member of Ghana’s U-23 and the senior team B that lost 1-0 against South Africa during the 2025 AFCON warm-up game in December last year.
