The race for the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League title and survival intensifies on Tuesday as Match Day 29 gets underway with seven crucial fixtures lined up across the country.
Much of the spotlight will shine on three key venues Mutesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku, Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo, and the Military Barracks Ground in Bombo where the title race and relegation battle could take major turns.
League leaders Vipers SC make the trip to face Maroons FC knowing victory could place one hand firmly on the championship trophy. The Venoms sit top of the table on 61 points and can edge closer to retaining the crown if they overcome a stubborn Maroons side that has often proved difficult for them in recent meetings.

Despite their position at the summit, Vipers arrive under pressure following a disappointing run that has seen them manage just two wins from their last ten league outings.
Their Uganda Cup exit last Friday further increased scrutiny ahead of this decisive encounter.
Any slip-up for the Kitende side could reopen the title race, especially with second-placed KCCA FC involved in another massive clash away to URA FC at Hamz Stadium.
KCCA trail Vipers by three points and head into the contest fully aware that maximum points are essential to keep their championship ambitions alive.
However, they face a determined URA side eager to finish the campaign strongly in front of their home supporters.
At Bombo, survival will be the main focus when UPDF FC host Calvary FC in a match carrying huge relegation implications.
The army side only need to avoid defeat to mathematically condemn the Yumbe-based visitors to relegation.
Calvary, currently four points behind UPDF with two matches remaining, have no option but to chase victory to preserve their fading hopes of survival.
UPDF head into the fixture on 21 points, while Calvary sit on 17.
Elsewhere, Police FC welcome Entebbe UPPC to Kamwokya, BUL FC host Uganda Cup finalists Kitara FC in Njeru, while Mbarara City entertain Buhimba United Saints in Kamwenge.
The day’s final fixture will see Express FC lock horns with Lugazi FC under the lights at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo.
Match Day 29 action will conclude on Wednesday evening when SC Villa visit NEC FC at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
