Beşiktaş vice-captain Wilfred Ndidi has expressed disappointment following his side’s home draw in the Turkish Süper Lig Matchday 31 fixture against Fatih Karagümrük on Monday.
The Black Eagles dominated play throughout the encounter but were unable to convert their chances, as Fatih Karagümrük put up a resolute display at the back, warding off the threat from the hosts.
Ndidi, who was quoted by NTV Spor, admitted that the team’s performance was below the required standard.
“The draw is very disappointing. We started the game badly, we couldn’t find a solution in the first half
We needed to react in the second half, but overall we were bad.
This is unacceptable. We will focus on the next game and we have to do better.”
Beşiktaş currently sits in fourth position on the table with 56 points and will face Gaziantep in their next league game on Friday.
