Zamalek SC have officially received security approval for a major crowd attendance ahead of their decisive second leg clash against USM Alger in the final of the CAF Confederation Cup 2026.
The return leg is scheduled for next Saturday at Cairo International Stadium, where Zamalek will look to overturn a first-leg deficit.
Egyptian authorities have approved attendance for 46,200 supporters, including 2,000 tickets allocated to the Algerian side’s fans, setting the stage for a packed and electric atmosphere in Cairo.
Zamalek suffered a dramatic 1-0 defeat in the first leg in Algeria after a highly dramatic ending. The Egyptian giants had scored what seemed to be a late winning goal during stoppage time, only for the referee to disallow it before awarding a decisive penalty to USM Alger. Ahmed Khaldi converted from the spot in to hand his side the advantage.
With the final now shifting to Cairo, Zamalek are expected to have one of their largest crowds of the season, as supporters prepare to create an intense environment in hopes of inspiring a comeback.
