Tanzania international and Azam FC attacking midfielder Feisal Salum, popularly known as “Fei Toto,” continues to deliver standout performances in the NBC Premier League this season, playing a decisive role in his club’s impressive campaign.
Salum was once again the star attraction in Azam’s latest league fixture, a commanding 3-0 victory over Mtibwa Sugar. The creative midfielder scored twice and provided an assist for Congolese striker Japhte Kitambala, capping off a dominant individual display that earned him the Man of the Match award.

His latest contribution takes his tally to nine league goals this season, placing him at the top of the Golden Boot race. Salum currently leads a competitive scoring chart, ahead of Yanga SC’s Prince Dube and Namungo FC’s Fabrice Ngoyi, who both have eight goals. Pacome Zouzoua of Yanga follows with seven goals, alongside teammates Mudathir Yahya and Azam’s own Idd Nado, who are also on seven.
Beyond his goal scoring exploits, Salum has also established himself as the league’s leading playmaker. He tops the assist chart with eight assists, underlining his all round attacking influence. Yanga’s Allan Okello trails with six assists, while Simba SC’s Ellie Mpanzu and Yanga’s Duke Abuya have each registered five. Maxi Nzengeli, also of Yanga, has contributed four assists so far.

Salum’s combined goal and assist contributions highlight his importance to Azam FC this season. Out of the team’s 29 goals scored so far, he has been directly involved in 17, a remarkable statistic that emphasizes his central role in the team’s attacking success.
Azam FC remain unbeaten in the league after 20 matches, accumulating 40 points through 10 wins and 10 draws. Their consistency has kept them firmly in contention near the top of the standings, with Salum’s form proving to be a key factor in their strong run.
The midfielder’s current form builds on an already impressive record from last season, where he finished as the league’s top assist provider with 13 assists. His ability to both score and create goals continues to set him apart as one of the most influential players in Tanzanian football.
With the season still ongoing, Salum appears determined to maintain his momentum and guide Azam FC in their pursuit of silverware, while also strengthening his case for individual honors.
