Hearts Of Oak coach speaks out on ‘poor decision-making’ after Aduana draw

Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has expressed his disappointment following a goalless draw at home against Aduana FC during their Matchday 32 Ghana Premier League encounter on Sunday.

The Phobians fired blanks throughout the contest, with Dramani primarily blaming poor decision-making by his players for the stalemate at the Accra Sports Stadium. Speaking during a candid post-match press conference, the veteran tactician described the result as a missed opportunity in what has been a challenging campaign.

Dramani of Hearts of Oak Laments Poor Decision-Making

Reflecting on the performance, Dramani emphasised that his squad is currently navigating a steep learning curve.

“I think that it’s part of the sporting event where you have challenges and learning curves. I believe this is part of the learning, and we will deal with those challenges. It still comes down to decision-making; I have said it from day one. I think we need to significantly improve our decision-making in the final third,” the Hearts of Oak coach noted.

He further urged his players to remain grounded despite the pressure. “I think what is important in football is that you always need to improve and be humble enough to agree that there is work to be done and that you have to grow.”

Following the goalless draw against Aduana, Hearts of Oak are officially out of the Ghana Premier League title race. The Accra giants will now shift their focus toward winning their remaining two fixtures to guarantee a respectable top-four finish.

Aristica Cites Fatigue in Hard-Fought Point

On the opposing bench, Aduana FC head coach Cioaba Aristica shared his thoughts with the media, highlighting the gruelling schedule his team has endured in recent weeks.

“It was a difficult game. This week alone, we have played three matches—two away from home and one home fixture. We have travelled long distances, and it is evident that some players are tired,” the Romanian tactician explained.

Despite the exhaustion, Aristica remained positive about the result. “It’s good that we didn’t lose the game. We have another match coming up, and our objective remains to finish in the top four.”

With just two rounds of matches left to conclude the season, Aduana FC currently sit fourth in the standings with 47 points. They are set to host Young Apostles in their next league assignment at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
