Kenyan Premier League outfit Shabana FC have confirmed the acquisition of former Harambee Stars midfielder Osborne Monday as the new assistant coach.
The Kisii-based Premier League club confirmed Mondayβs arrival was to help beef up the technical bench as the team continues with their quest to win the FKF Premier League title.

The announcement was made by Elizaphan Kerama, who serves as Secretary General of Shabana, with the club expressing confidence in his contribution moving forward.
A statement from the club signed by secretary general confirmed Monday will work as the assistant coach to head coach sets precedent on a future that will be built based on the lessons of the past.

The club stated that Mondayβs previous experience and strong understanding of the teamβs philosophy made him the ideal choice as they continue restructuring their technical bench.
Monday, who was the immediate head coach of Murangβa Seal but was fired after his side lost to minnows Mfalme FC in the Round of 16 fixture of the FKF Cup, had been serving as an analyst for Shabana at the start of the season.
In between, he switched to Murang’a Seal as the head coach till his recent exit. Nevertheless, Shabana has given him a second chance, this time as an assistant coach to Andrew Mark Ongwae.
At stake is an eye on the Mozzart Bet Cup trophy and a strong position finish in the league this season.
