After the NBC Premier League reached Round 23, attention has now shifted to domestic cup action as the quarter-final stage of the 2026 CRDB Bank Federation Cup kicks off this weekend with four highly anticipated fixtures across the country.

The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has confirmed the full schedule for the quarter-final matches, which will be played on May 16 and 17, with clubs battling for a place in the last four of the prestigious knockout competition.

The action begins on Saturday, May 16, when Coastal Union host Singida Black Stars at CCM Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga. The match is scheduled to kick off at 4:00 pm East Africa Time and is expected to be a tightly contested encounter between two in-form sides.

Later the same evening, defending Mainland Premier League champions Young Africans SC will take on JKT Tanzania at Major General Isamuhyo Stadium in Mbweni, Dar es Salaam. The fixture is set for a 6:30 pm EAT kickoff and is considered one of the standout ties of the quarter-finals.

Simba SC Face TRA United, while Mashujaa FC welcome Azam FC

On Sunday, May 17, football fans will turn their attention to the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam, where giants Simba SC face surprise package TRA United at 6:30 pm. TRA United stunned many football followers in the Round of 16 after eliminating Namungo FC away from home, and they will be hoping to continue their impressive cup run against Simba.

Meanwhile, in Kigoma, Mashujaa FC will welcome Azam FC at Lake Tanganyika Stadium in another exciting quarter-final clash scheduled for 4:00 pm.

The Federation Cup semi-final path has also been mapped out following the draw conducted by TFF. The winner between Simba SC and TRA United will face either Coastal Union or Singida Black Stars in the semi-finals.

On the other side of the bracket, the victor between JKT Tanzania and Yanga SC will meet the winner of the Mashujaa FC versus Azam FC encounter.

All eight teams secured their quarter-final spots after impressive performances in the Round of 16 played in April this year. Simba SC defeated Dodoma Jiji FC 3-1, while Yanga edged TMA Stars 1-0.

Azam FC progressed with a commanding 4-0 victory over Fountain Gate FC, while TRA United caused one of the biggest upsets by beating Namungo FC 2-0 away from home.
