Kelechi Iheanacho expressed delight with his first season in Scotland after helping Celtic FC secure the Scottish Premiership title following a dramatic end to the season on Saturday.
The Nigerian international, who joined the club on a free transfer, played a key role in Celtic’s title-winning campaign.
Iheanacho, speaking in an interview, described the triumph as a special moment in his career, admitting the pressure leading up to the decisive fixture was enormous.
“It feels good. It feels so good I can’t let go of this trophy.”
Celtic were pushed all the way by Hearts in a fiercely contested clash, but Iheanacho admitted that winning a title with Celtic carries special significance because of the club’s rich history and passionate supporters..
“They were a very strong side. But God of Soccer was on our side today. It’s another silverware for me. I’m happy I won a silverware with this massive club.”
