Yan Diomande made it three consecutive matches with a goal contribution on Friday, assisting the third goal in RB Leipzig’s 3-1 Bundesliga victory over Union Berlin.
The result was well in hand for the hosts at Red Bull Arena but the Ivorian superstar helped finish the job in the 63rd minute. After advancing on the Union Berlin defense from the right flank, Diomande provided a clever pass to split two defenders and find Ridle Baku for the third goal.
The 19-year-old attacker’s stock could not be any higher at the moment. His impressive form continues while he is under the microscope from Europe’s elite clubs, with Liverpool rumored to be willing to part way with €100 million to acquire one of European club football’s hottest commodities.
Diomande now has 12 goals and 7 assists in 30 matches during his debut campaign in Germany’s top flight. His club are laying waste to the competition with a late surge, winning seven of their last eight matches during which the Ivorian has provided 4 goals and 2 assists.
